About the series:"NEVERMORE is collection of work inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. During my research I found interest in the thoughts and internal conversations that Poe’s characters were having with themselves and wanted visualize those thoughts. Using the layering of different elements from the stories I wanted to create an atmosphere that combined my imagery alongside excerpts from the stories they were taken from. Displayed as triptychs each text on the tinplate reads from left to right and completes a full passage from the selected story. Along with the text I silkscreen printed directly on the glass choosing images that can be seen as iconography for each story. In addition to the triptychs, the Van Dyke installation for this series is intended to show the viewer glimpses of the various scenes created for the stories all gathered together. "
